Our Japanese visitors loved our"local" music. Yes, Picture This was a big hit. Hokkaido needs to be on their next tour itinerary.
On Tuesday 8th of January the minor girls soccer team played Presentation, Carlow at home. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead with a brilliant individual effort from Erin Brereton Foley the minor girls did not end up winning the game however they put in an incredible performance in both defence and attack in a very close game. Sarah Grimes was outstanding in goal pulling off some magnificent saves and there were fantastic defensive displays from Naomi Kelly Burke, Lea Zawada and Molly Doyle Walsh. In attack Georgina Grufferty, Erin Brereton Foley and Lisa Badakin were always threatening when on the ball and also worked tirelessly in defence. Gabija Svetokaite and Hannah McDermott and Niamh Fitzgerald showed great determination and work rate all through the game working tirelessly in attack and defence. The girls are looking forward to their next game.
Many thanks to our Japanese visitors for their rendition of our national anthem on their final night with us
