On the coming Friday 24th October enrolment application for First Year in September 2015 is closing. We thank all for the large number of applications submitted. Offers of places will issue at the end of the second week of November and any further applications will be placed on a waiting list should places become available.
Athy College Ladies football had another great day with a victory over Duiske College from Kilkenny. Not just a decisive victory but a demonstration of excellent football and team spirit. Watch these girls as they go from strength to strength.
Congratulations to Athy College Girls Basketball on a very significant win against Gaelcoláiste Ceatharlach Next week, Oct 13th - 17th, Athy College is participating in Athy Wellnes week which is a set of events to promote positive mental health and well-being for students and parents. This is a HSCL le initiative in conjunction with Scoil Mhichil Naofa, all primary schools on our campus and Ard Scoil na Trionaide. Several community partners are also involved including Athy library.

Eanna Ní Lamhna today officially launched the school sculpture "The Hare Queen" to a large gathering of students. Guests included Lucina Russell, Kildare County Arts Officer who was instrumental in delivering the project. The sculpture by Fidelma Massey is a tribute to the former residents of the school site who continued to live in our environs both throughout and following the build. Congratulations to our students who once again donned the team colours of their choice to celebrate GOAL Jersey Day. Mr Whelan has long been supportive of the organisation and this year the student raised in excess of €365 for the cause.
U16 Girls seem to be unstoppable whatever the sport. Following their decisive victory on the football field many of the same players went on to play basketball against St. Conleth's and recorded another decisive win. A great sporting day for our girls and a delighted Ms O'Neill posts the winning result.
Our new pitch was christened today with a contest between our U16 girls and Piper's Hill. A great sense of pride prevailed as Athy recorded a decisive victory to make it a day to remember. Thanks to Ms Moriarty, Seamus Fingleton, Ms Sweeney for the team preparation, to Mr McDonagh and Mr O'Keeffe for having a pitch of quality and looking great. Athy College pitch is now officially open
