Staff at Athy College get in the spirit of World Book Day - Three little pigs, Three blind mice but no three wise men!
From our schooldays most of us have some phrases in Gaeilge and this is seachtain na Gaeilge. Even if it is only from now until Lá le Pádraig let's show a little Irishness by using "Slán", "Go raibh maith agat" and similar phrases. Who knows. you might find you have more Gaeilge than you thinK
Well done to Athy College students who are visiting some of our campus primary schools promoting the "cúpla focal" in Spanish. Our thanks to Ms Arancibia and the TY students for the initiative.

We are delighted to be one of four schools in the country selected to take part in a research project overseen by the School of Education at The University of Limerick and designed by the University of Cambridge in which we are trialling a learning intervention called ‘Designing Our Tomorrow’ or DOT. The DOT initiative is set of learning activities that encourage a different approach to design and problem-solving that focuses on user empathy. The learning activities encourage students to experience another persons perspective to design products for a more inclusive world. 1st year students have already started the learning activities and are thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Congratulations to Athy College TY students who made environmental proposals to the Athy Municipal District council this week as part of the Bin It campaign. The students captured the attention of the councillors and made impressive proposals. Many thanks to the Bin It team in Athy.
