Athy College is proud to have a student attend the Youth Assembly on Climate Change in Dáil Éireann today. Evan Pereira was selected from over 1000 applicants to express his views at the special Dáil sitting.
On Tuesday 5th of the November the first year girls competed in a futsal blitz in Newbridge. Although the team didn't reach the final they played some great games. There was some great defensive displays by Charlie Ankers Skye Shaw and Erin Bartley. Moralyo Ogunrin and Leah Hanrahan scored some fantastic goals and there were some brilliant saves in goal by Ava Sweeney Kavanagh and Niamh Kennedy. Christine Donoghue and Magarita Carthy worked tirelessly all day and Sarah Kane Roxanna Kilis and Alicia Daly worked very well on both sides of the ball. Athy College Guidance department were delighted to with the hundreds of attendees at the recent Careers Exhibition. With almost 50 exhibitors from most of the third level colleges, apprenticeships, military, Gardai and much more there was something for everyone. Very positive responses from both the exhibitors and attendees. Well done Joanne Parry.

Exhibition opens 7.pm Hundreds of Athy College students took to their feet today to sample the Blueway track from Milltown Bridge to Athy. Even though the weather wasn't ideal the students really enjoyed this amenity which is on our doorstep. What a wonderful way to improve your mental health and get some exercise. Soon the Blueway will take us to the Shannon or to Dublin but before the crowds lets enjoy OUR stretch along the Grand Canal
Enrolment for Athy College first year 2020 closes on Fri week (25th) at 5pm. Applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list should any vacancy occur.
For the first time ever Athy College are holding a fundraiser with three purposes in mind
We are doing this to coincide with our 80th anniversary and appreciate any support you can give. Coderdojo is running tomorrow (Sat 5th) at Athy College for all young coding enthusiasts. Feel free to join us from 10am to noon.
