Well done to past pupil, Brian Hughes on packing the Dominican Church for the launch of his musical composition inspired by the Shackleton story. Brian is a well established musician with much published work on both the whistle and the uileann pipes. His latest and greatest work is an amazing compilation of the atmosphere of the sea and the sense of adventure, excitement and lonliness felt by the brave explorer. With John MacKenna narrating and backed by the County Kildare Orchestra and the Monasterevin Gospel Choir, Brian's suite of compositions has created a lasting musical monument. Brian's genius and humility are destined for even greater recognition. Well done, Brian

It is with deepest regret that we have learned of the untimely passing of former student Fionn McDonald. He completed his Leaving Cert examination this summer after five years with us. A kind and gentle young man taken before his time.
Our school is deeply saddened by his loss. Our sympathies to his families and friends who we hold in our thoughts. Peace be with him. |
