Athy College were glad to host last nights Ladies Camogie match between Athy and Naas. Last year's addition of ball stop netting has added greatly to the capacity of our sports facility.
From tomorrow Athy College's new outdoor gym is being made available to the public. A new gate to the roadside has been constructed and when the gate is open the gym is available. The facility will be open from 4pm till dark each evening and for most of the weekend.
There are six stations with twelve "machines" No dogs are allowed. You must be over 14 to use equipment. Participants use equipment at their own risk. Any anti social behaviour will result in limiting its use so please help us to maintain and develop this amenity by reporting your concerns. The finals are over two days and put Athy on the basketball map!
A selected number of examination students have been offered places on a first come basis on our supervised study programme over the Easter holidays. Study runs from 9.30 to 1pm each day.
Second year students did dairy-free baking this week using Nubie Foods rapeseed oil which is a new product being produced by Peter Monroe and his partner Alan Salter, in Stradbally. Mr. Monroe provided a great supply of Sicilian lemon flavoured oil for our baking when we made fantastic lemon cakes for Easter.
Amy Potts presented Rebecca Monroe with a Sicilian Lemon cake for the family, as a thanks from the whole class. Great to see our foreign "tourists" home last night after a wonderful school tour to Barcelona. Seems like everybody enjoyed it. Hasta la vista!
Tomorrow 27th March is Daffodil Day.Supporting this event is the only way many of us can help in the fight against cancer so please buy a daffodil.

We are pleased to be able to offer a facility for exam students to have supervised study here at Athy College during the Easter holidays. Study is free of charge and will take place from 9.30am to 1pm each day from 30th March - 2nd April and from 7th - 10th April. Only 30 places available.
